Caterpillar Head Machine Facility

Project Description

The original Caterpillar Head Machine facility is a 264,866 sf. industrial engine machining facility. Strategically located along major supply routes and distribution hubs, the new machining facility supplies engine heads to the Engine Assembly plant on the Seguin campus and other major supply routes. Major features include 6,918 s.f. of support office areas and 6,918 s.f. office ready mezzanine with 4,520 s.f. of locker, breakroom, and shipping and receiving operations. The facility counts with 8,750 s.f. of concrete mezzanine housing the mechanical and electrical services.

The Head Machine expansion added an additional 280,550 s.f. to the existing machining facility. Major features include 2,230 s.f. of support locker facilities, 1,452 s.f. kitchen/breakroom, and shipping and receiving operations. The industrial facility counts with an 1,900 s.f. of internal ignitable storage facility and 10,600 s.f. of concrete mezzanine housing the mechanical and electrical services.
