North Texas Food Bank Perot Family Campus

The North Texas Food Bank has officially opened the doors to their new Corporate Facility and Distribution Center in Plano, Texas. Over 2 years of collaboration between GSR-Andrade, Hillwood Development and Construction, NTFB and Belle Firma (Landscape Architecture Firm) marked the North Texas Food Bank Perot Family Campus Project complete.

The goal of the North Texas Food Bank is to provide meals for the nearly 800,000 people in North Texas who don’t know where their next meal will come from.  GSR-Andrade is proud to work with an amazing organization that does so much for our community.

About the Facility

Over 36,000 square feet make up this new corporate office and an additional 200,000 square feet make up the warehouse where the food distribution occurs. Inspiration for the colors, design, and functionality was taken from their three current locations: Farmer’s Market, Dan Morton and Cockrell Hill.

The NTFB pays tribute to their late CEO, Jan Pruitt, by naming the Children’s Learning Garden after her. “Jan’s Garden” is just one part of the 1 acre of land designed in this project. Other features of the community garden include a 5,000 gallon Rain Water Cistern, Composting Area, Greenhouse, Painted Shipping containers for storage, covered pavilions and various planting beds and vegetable gardens.
