GSRA Wins “Best Use of Labels” Award in Annual Canstruction Competition

GSR Andrade recently participated in the 20th annual Canstruction® event. Canstruction® is a unique charity event that combines the competitive spirit of a design/build competition with a unique way to help feed the hungry. Teams design and build giant structures made entirely of full cans of food. At the end of the exhibition, all the food is donated to the North Texas Food Bank.

Twenty-nine teams from Dallas-area architecture, engineering, and construction firms built their giant Can-Sculptures on Saturday, September 24th. This was the 7th year that GSRA has been involved in the charitable competition.

An Awards Ceremony was held Tuesday, September 27th, where GSRA was awarded the “Best Use of Labels” trophy. All winning structures will have the opportunity to compete in Canstruction’s International Competition.

This year’s event is being hosted once again at The Science Place at Fair Park and will be available for viewing throughout the 24 days of The State Fair of Texas (September 30th – October 23rd).  The exhibit is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day.
