Ames Fender, AIA
Ames is a principal and director of business development and community involvement with Fender|Andrade. As a fourth generation Fort Worth native with an architectural legacy stretching across Texas, Ames has been involved in the city's design and construction community for over 40 years, including twenty-five years as principal of another firm. Through his career he has been responsible for design and direction of corporate, commercial, educational and multi-family projects. A strong believer in giving back to the community, Ames has served on several City Commissions and Boards as well as the boards of numerous non-profit and service organizations. Ames' major efforts are directed toward strategic planning, business development, office management and project management.
Fernando J. Andrade, AIA
Fernando is a principal and project designer with Fender|Andrade. With over 27 years of professional experience, he is responsible for the design management of the firm and the programming, masterplanning, and design of a variety of project types. Throughout his professional career, he has been responsible for the design and direction of healthcare, corporate, commercial, recreational, institutional, and hospitality projects. Fernando promotes positive growth for the community by serving on numerous Boards and Committees including: Vice Chairman - Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau; Skillman Corridor TIF Board; Big Brothers/Big Sisters Hispanic Advisory Board; Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards Evaluation Committee; and a number of other area Chambers. Fernando's major efforts are directed toward the design of individual projects to ensure that the client's intial program, budget, and schedule are properly implemented.
